COLUMBUS  McKinley and Marlington each lead their respective computer regions in the initial release of the Ohio High School Athletic Association’s weekly football computer ratings Tuesday.

LAST WEEK  Marlington 17, Aquinas 14; South Range 42, Trinity 12

LOUISVILLE  One Marlington penalty cost Dymonte Thomas a go-ahead touchdown.

There were no mistakes the next time the University of Michigan recruit touched the ball. A valuable lesson was learned.

On the surface, Marlington’s Week 2 win at Crestwood looks like a rout.

The Dukes scored 41 points and won by four touchdowns. Dymonte Thomas ran for 142 yards and quarterback Shawn Kirk fell a yard short of 100 yards rushing.

Not very many people thought the Minerva Lions would go down the way they did Friday night, though.

The St. Thomas Aquinas High School football team took command with a pair of late touchdowns in the first half and rolled to a 34-6 win over the Lions at Hines Stadium.
