UHRICHSVILLE Claymont High School School’s football version of Henry Act III got off to a roaring start Saturday night.
Last season, a record seven area high school football teams qualified for the postseason.
It could be that many or maybe even more this season.

GNADENHUTTEN In all-star games, it’s usually the norm to have more than one player at each position.
CANTON This wasn’t just a chance to get together and play a football game in the middle of summer. Saturday night at Fawcett Stadium meant something. It meant a lot.
It was the 23rd Repository East-West All-Star football game. With the series tied at 11 games each, it is easy to see why.
CANTON It was a Repository East-West All-Star Football Game record that stood for 22 years.
Taurice Scott blew that to smithereens in less than 22 seconds.
CANTON The three-hour shootout escaped the East’s control Saturday night.
There were no worries on head coach Dale Soles’ sideline. Minutes later his players put the finishing touches on a come-from-behind victory.
