There’s an interesting subplot to Friday night’s Dover-Claymont football matchup.

Not only is it an important East Central Ohio League contest for both squads, but it will be the first time Eric and Ed Henry will be coaching on opposite sides.

Despite Week 5 wins to stay unbeaten, McKinley and Marlington each dropped from No. 1 in their respective regions in the weekly Ohio High School Athletic Association football computer ratings. The Bulldogs (4-0) are rated No. 2 in Division I, Region 2, while the Dukes (5-0) are No. 2 in Division III, Region 11.

Adam Brandon had a big game for Strasburg High School last week while playing a new position. Brandon, a 6-foot-1, 225-pound senior, moved into the backfield from his spot on the offensive line and helped lead the Tigers to a 41-34 win at Beallsville.
