Northwest's Klatt part of Ohio Big 33 team

Updated: Thursday, June 18, 2009

Northwest High School All-Ohio center Nate Klatt will play for Ohio in Saturday’s Big 33 Classic against Pennsylvania at Hersheypark Stadium. The game kicks off at 7 p.m.

The 6-foot-5, 290-pound Klatt is the lone Stark County player in the game, which began in 1957. Ohio and Pennsylvania all-star teams are squaring off for the 17th straight year. Pennsylvania holds a 9-7 edge in the rivalry.

Klatt is one of the top-rated offensive lineman in the Midwest. He is headed to Michigan State after earning all-state honors as a junior and senior. He helped Northwest go undefeated during the 2007 regular season as the Indians reached the state playoffs all four years he was in the program.

Seven Ohio State recruits will play in the game for Ohio, including defensive lineman Corey Linsley of Boardman, the only Federal League player in the game.
