A Push To Keep The Championships In Stark County

As you have all probably heard, there has been a push by several cities to have the football championshops moved from Stark County when the next contract is up.  Teams from Cincinnati have complained about the travel time.  Other cities have argued that a city like Columbus is more centrally located and better for travel from the corners of the state.  It is a fair argument that N. E. Ohio is a long distance for many.

I posted last year and I still believe that Stark County is going to lose the championships soon.  Yes, we have two great stadiums for games.  And yes, we have done a good job of putting on the event every year.  But I think that eventually, the playoffs will be sent to Columbus where people will be able to get there relatively easily.  And If location is not an issue, Cities like Akron with the new stadium or Cleveland might do well.  They may only have one good location instead of our two, but that may be enough.

I figure the best way to convince them to keep the playoffs here is with our bodies and pocketbooks.  If we can show them that we will have great attendance here and that we will spend our money, hopefully that will be enough to keep the games here.  The larger cities may have a larger population base, but we can show others that we have the most enthusiastic fans.
