I was disappointed that 4 of the 6 games were basically blow outs. Always hoping for a great match up, as I rarely have a team to root for. I have to say, however that the DAVIDSON / GLENVILLE game was great. Any coach that decides to go for two to win a game has my respect. Too many coaches at all levels make conservative calls because they are afraid to be wrong and second guessed. I thought this made for the best game of the weekend.
Disappointed to see that the attendance was down. I know that there may be many good reasons for it (one Repository writer mentioned bad match ups and the economy, and I particularly agree with the latter), it could not have been a worse year for a decline. As you know, the OHSAA will be deciding whether or not to move the championships for the next contract. Let's keep our finger's crossed.
